4月19日，武汉举行2021年第二季度全市重大项目集中开工活动。活动在新洲区举行，其他各区设立分会场并同步举行开工活动。

On April 19, an inaugural ceremony to launch the start of key projects of the second quarter in Wuhan took place at a main venue in the Xinzhou District. Other districts have also set up branch venues and held simultaneous groundbreaking activities.

市发改委相关负责人介绍，参加此次集中开工活动的亿元以上重大项目共203个，总投资2595.6亿元，继续延续了一季度以来全市开工项目势头迅猛的趋势。

According to a staff member of the Wuhan Municipal Development and Reform Commission, each of the 203 major projects that have started construction has an investment value of over RMB 100 million, altogether amounting to RMB 259.56 billion. This maintains the city's momentum of project commencement that began in the first quarter.

据了解，二季度全市重大项目集中开工项目中，既有康复医学中心、社区卫生服务中心等公共卫生项目，又有海绵城市建设、老旧小区改造等城市更新项目，还有教育、养老等社会事业项目。

These major projects are related to key urban sectors. There are public health projects which will see the establishment of rehabilitation medical centers and community health service centers; there are urban renewal projects like the sponge city construction and the old neighborhood transformation; as well, there are social welfare projects involving educational and retirement facilities.
