The list of the Top 100 Wuhan Companies 2021 was officially released on Aug. 23. The benchmark for a company making it onto the list, specifically into the comprehensive top 100 category, is an operating revenue of RMB 3.65 billion in 2020, an increase of RMB 72 million over the previous year. The top three on the list are Dongfeng Motor Corporation, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co. Ltd., and China Gezhouba Corporation.

8月23日，2021武汉企业100强榜单正式发布。依据申报企业2020年度营业收入,本届综合百强入围门槛为36.5亿元，比上届入围门槛提高0.72亿元，排在前3位的是东风汽车、中建三局、葛洲坝集团。

'Kuaizhou-Xinzhou' rocket made in Wuhan ready to launch

汉产“快舟•新洲”号火箭即将发射

On Aug. 21, the Kuaizhou-series rocket developed and made in Wuhan was transported to the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center where it will be launched next month. As the first rocket manufactured at the Wuhan National Aerospace Industry Base, it has been named "Kuaizhou-Xinzhou" after its birthplace in Wuhan's Xinzhou District.

21日，武汉国家航天产业基地研发生产的“快舟•新洲”号火箭出征酒泉卫星发射中心，将于下个月在酒泉卫星发射中心择机发射。武汉国家航天产业基地首枚火箭命名为“快舟•新洲”号，以纪念在新洲区下线的“汉产”火箭。

Metro line with most beautiful river views completes

The main structures of the 12 stations of Metro Line 16 have now been completed. Line 16 will span across the Tongshun River, the Zhuankou Yangtze River Bridge of the Fourth Ring Road, and the Xiaojun Mountain, with the highest section around 31 meters above ground, approximately the height of 10 floors. The view will be pleasant with beautiful landscapes along the way. Therefore, Line 16 has been given the name of "the metro line with most beautiful river views."

截至目前， 武汉地铁16号线12座车站主体结构均已完工。据了解，16号线跨越通顺河、四环线沌口长江大桥及小军山，最高处距离地面约31米，相当于10层楼高，视野开阔，沿途风景美不胜收，16号线也因此被称为“最美观江地铁”。

Taikang donates RMB 1 billion to Wuhan University

On the morning of Aug. 22, the Taikang Insurance Group signed a donation agreement in Beijing with Wuhan University, announcing that it will donate RMB 1 billion to the university and that the two sides will carry on in-depth cooperation. Statistics show that this donation is the largest Wuhan University has ever received and one of the largest ever given to the medical and life science disciplines in a university in China.

8月22日上午，泰康保险集团与武汉大学在北京签署捐赠协议，泰康保险集团向武汉大学捐赠10亿元，并开启深度合作。据统计，本次捐赠是武汉大学历史上受赠数额最大的一笔，也是我国大学医学、生命科学学科领域数额最大的捐赠之一。

DPCA's sales in the first 8 months this year surpasses last year's total volume

On Aug. 24, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Company Ltd. (DPCA) said that the company's sales have increased steeply for the past eight consecutive months. As of Aug. 23, the total sales volume reached 50,277 automobiles, a significant amount over last year's one-year volume.

8月24日，记者从神龙汽车获悉，今年以来，神龙汽车连续8个月销量高速增长，截至8月23日，累计销量达到了50277辆，超去年全年销量。

Carbon-neutral afforestation base at Songyang Mountain

Wuhan's major event related to the 2021 National Low-carbon Day was held on Aug. 25. The city announced the establishment of its first carbon-neutral afforestation bases: one at Songyang Mountain in Caidian District and the other at Jiangjun Mountain in Xinzhou District. Thereafter, carbon neutrality will be closely linked with the lifestyles of Wuhan locals who can offset carbon dioxide emissions through afforestation.

8月25日，武汉市2021年全国低碳日主场活动举行。武汉市首批碳中和林基地揭牌，分别位于蔡甸区嵩阳山和新洲区将军山。此举标志着“碳中和”将与武汉市民的生活紧密链接，市民可通过植树造林抵消碳排放。
