International media challengers explore Wuhan | 国际媒体人打卡武汉

Top candidates of Media Challengers, a global talent hunt campaign launched by CGTN (China Global Television Network), completed a three-day mission in Wuhan during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.
中秋小长假期间,
CGTN“媒体勇士”优秀选手来到武汉,完成为期3天的比赛。

The Media Challengers Wuhan Team consists of six candidates, two of whom participated only online due to the pandemic. On the morning of Sept. 19, the in-person challengers boarded the Zhiyin cruise to collect clues leading to the next part of the challenge. In the following two days, they learned to make hot-and-dry noodles at a breakfast stall in Hubu Alley and helped the owner to run the breakfast business. On the evening of Mid-Autumn Festival, they visited the Yellow Crane Tower and took a group photo.
这次共有6名选手参赛,其中两人受疫情影响在线上参与比赛。 19日早上,选手们登上“知音号”,收集任务卡。接下来的两天时间里,选手们在户部巷的面馆学做热干面,并且帮助老板经营摊位。中秋节当晚,他们登上黄鹤楼,合影留念。
Challenger Jonathan, an American who has lived in China for the past 23 years, said that they got up at 4 a.m. to prepare for opening the breakfast stall. Although it was physically demanding, he discovered something new about this city. "Wuhan makes me feel safe. The city is even doing better than the period before the pandemic. Wuhan's hot-and-dry noodles can now be packaged and delivered to diners across the country," he said.
选手江喃说,凌晨4时他们就起床到户部巷给热干面的老板帮忙,虽然辛苦,但他发现了之前对武汉了解不深的一面。他说:“武汉让人感觉很安全,而且比疫情前发展得更好,比如武汉热干面经过包装,正向全国更多食客送出外卖。”

What surprised all the challengers was the International Friendship Woods in the Hankou Riverside Park, symbolizing the friendship between Wuhan and the rest of the world. They thought this helped show Wuhan as a cosmopolitan city.
让所有选手十分吃惊的是汉口江滩一片象征中外友谊的“国际友谊林”,选手们认为这是武汉作为国际化大都市的一个特征。
Launched by CGTN on April 8 this year, the Media Challengers campaign aims to find talented new media professionals worldwide. Its Wuhan Team wrapped up shooting on Sept. 23.

“媒体勇士”招募活动于2021年4月8日开始,目标是在全球范围内招募有才华的新媒体专业人士。武汉站录制将于9月23日杀青。
