Wuhan ranks among top 10 most popular tourist destinations in China

武汉旅游排名持续稳居全国前十

According to statistics produced by Fliggy (one of China's online travel agencies), Wuhan entered the top 10 in China during the National Day holiday as both a travel destination and the source of tourists. About 21,165,000 tourists visited Wuhan, an increase of 28.49% compared with last year. Many spots in the city became popular tourist attractions, including the 120-year-old ferry that runs from Zhonghua Road to Jianghan Customs House and the renovated Tanhualin.

据飞猪旅游统计的数据，“十一”期间，武汉作为目的地、客源地均进入全国TOP10。全市接待游客总量2116.50万人次，较2020年同比增长28.49%。多处景点成为人气网红打卡点，包括120岁的中华路—江汉关轮渡，以及改造后的昙华林等。

'Hankou Town' opens to public

"Hankou Town" officially opened to the public on Oct. 1. It offered a prosperous fair which showcased hanfu displays, exquisite cultural and creative works, various types of cuisine and games, as well as street performances. Additionally, there were more than 30 internet-famous attractions such as a 30-meter-long green steam-powered train, a cherry-blossom-themed tram, the Hankou Grand Stage, and the Hankou Wharf, giving visitors a rich experience while shopping.

10月1日，汉口镇正式开街。这里有繁华的市集，汇聚了汉风汉服、精美文创、美食游戏、街头表演等。还有30米长蒸汽绿皮火车、樱花电车、汉口大舞台、汉口码头等30+网红打卡点，给游客提供丰富的“游购”体验。

The second "Optics Valley Chinese Costume Festival" was held on the Optics Valley Pedestrian Street on the evening of Oct. 2. Citizens and several internet celebrities dressed in hanfu participated in the parade and performances, showcasing the colorful brilliance of traditional Chinese culture.

10月2日晚，第二届“光谷华服节”在光谷步行街举办。网红潮人与市民身着汉服，开展巡游、表演等活动，重现千年华服、盛世霓裳。

2021 Wuhan Marathon scheduled for October 24

2021“汉马”定于10月24日开跑

The Organizing Committee of the Wuhan Marathon announced on Oct. 2 that the 2021 Wuhan Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 24. A total of 26,000 runners will take part in this year's event. It will be divided into three groupings, specifically, the full marathon of 42.195 km involving 10,000 people, the half marathon of 21.0975 km involving 8,000 people, and the 13-km run involving 8,000 runners.

10月2日，武汉马拉松组委会宣布：2021武汉马拉松将于10月24日上午7时30分开跑，赛事规模为26000人，包括马拉松（42.195公里）10000人、半程马拉松（21.0975公里）8000人、13公里跑8000人。

Gale-force winds to sweep Wuhan with a temperature plunge

This year's National Day holiday was the hottest on record over the past two decades. The highest temperature reached 36 ℃ on Oct. 4. However, the temperature dropped during the last two days of the holiday due to the arrival of a cold front, which has ushered in more seasonal fall weather. From the evening of Oct. 9 to the daytime of Oct. 10, gale-force winds are expected to sweep Wuhan, pulling the maximum temperature down to 23℃.

今年国庆假期是武汉市20年以来最热的“十一”长假，4日最高温达到36℃。然而到假期的尾巴，又上演“一夜秋凉”。随着冷空气的影响，武汉市将有望开启今年的“入秋”进程。9日晚间至10日白天，预计阵风最大将达8级左右，最高温也会降至23℃。
