The 5th Qintai Arts Festival kicked off on Oct. 16 and will continue through Dec. 29. A total of 32 performances will take place during the festival.

10月16日至12月29日，14个项目32场演出将贯穿第五届琴台艺术节的演出现场。

Well-known troupes, classic dramas and famous artists have always been a highlight of the festival and this year is no exception. The 2021 festival's opening plays are Cao Yu's "Thunderstorm," and its sequel "Thunderstorm II." Written by Cao's daughter Wan Fang, also a playwright, the sequel is seen as a salute by Wan to her father.

名团名剧、明星，向来是琴台艺术节的特色，今年的艺术节也不例外。10月16日央华戏剧将以曹禺的《雷雨》与《雷雨·后》形成的“连台戏”舞台剧为本届琴台艺术节拉开序幕。《雷雨·后》由曹禺之女、剧作家万方创作，向其父致敬。

A number of dance dramas are among must-see shows. On Nov. 11 and 12, the Shanghai Dance Theater will stage "The Eternal Wave." On Nov. 27 and 28, the award-winning "Cavalry" will be staged. The festival will conclude with another hailed dance drama "Chengdu Flavor" on Dec. 28 and 29.

多部舞剧作品成为本届琴台艺术节的夺目风景线。11月11日至12日，由上海歌舞团打造的作品《永不消逝的电波》将倾情上演；11月27日至28日，舞剧奖作品《骑兵》来袭；12月28日至29日，另一舞剧奖作品《努力餐》将靓丽压轴。

In musicals and concerts, there will be solo concerts of rock star Cui Jian and Hanggai Band, Jonathan Lee's musical "Bygone Love," and the family-oriented musical "The Prince and the Pauper."

音乐剧及小型演唱会方面，除了崔健、杭盖乐队的个唱，还有李宗盛音乐剧《当爱已成往事》和家庭音乐剧《王子与乞丐》。

The Qintai Grand Theater will host four public activities as sideline events of the festival, including a reading party on "Thunderstorm," a master class on "Cavalry," a meet and greet on "Bygone Love," and a master class on "Nomadic."

作为艺术节的支线活动，武汉琴台大剧院还将举办4场公益活动，《雷雨》读书会、舞剧《骑兵》大师课、《当爱已成往事》见面会和《流浪》大师课等4场讲座及分享会。
